WHERE DID YOU GROW UP: Philadelphia. Born and Raised.
WHEN DID YOU FIRST BECOME INTERESTED IN PHOTOGRAPHY: 11th Grade. I had a cool photo teacher that just felt like another teenager. I was also really in to music at that time. I used to go to shows, take pictures and befriend all the rockstars... photography was my back stage pass to the world!
WHAT INSPIRES YOU: Absolutely, 100%, PEOPLE! I love portraits, (just like pizza) even when they're bad they're still good.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE IMAGE THAT YOU'VE TAKEN: Teyana Taylor .... running down Biscayne Blvd in Miami in a see-through red raincoat right in front of the iconic Coppertone girl sign...
WHAT ARE ONE OR TWO OF YOUR FAVORITE MOMENTS FROM PAST SHOOTS: Recently I had a celebrity shoot that happened in a public space. A lot of my family came to watch. It was such a rare moment for them to get to see what I do and how I do it. Very grateful for the opportunity. Will definitely go down in the history books of my family.
IF YOU WEREN'T A PHOTOGRAPHER WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING INSTEAD: Comedy Writer for sure! Laughing is my love language.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE HISTORICAL FIGURE: I have always felt culturally connected to Mike Nichols, James Baldwin, Larry Kramer and Richard Avedon. Their work always reminds me who I am and what I care about.
