Bio

David Cabrera is a first generation Cuban American photographer born and raised in Miami, where he started his freelance career. He moved to New York to take on the role of Staff Photographer at Complex, which he held for almost 7 years, before switching gears to focus more on freelance and personal projects. 

The breadth of his work spans the gamut from portraiture to still-life to lifestyle. He has photographed some of the biggest names in hip-hop and contemporary culture. Notable projects include an album cover for Rick Ross and campaigns for Adidas, Puma, Nike, Aime Leon Dore, the Miami Dolphins, McDonald's, and more. 

When not on assignment, he dedicates time to his personal work which lovingly chronicles his family and everyday life in New York, Miami, and beyond.
